It is commonly diagnosed as a child and can be outgrown. A typical case study of a child with ADHD would show that the child had difficulty focusing. This child may also be forgetful, highly active, careless and impulsive. Because the child exhibits these behaviors, school and other organized activities can become difficult to accomplish. A child with Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder can be diagnosed with one of three different types of the disease. Once a diagnosis is in place the child’s behavior can be managed through medication and behavior therapy.
