This means that if a woman wanted to abort her child at 34 weeks pregnant, it would be legal. However, the chances of finding a doctor who would perform such a late-term abortion is very rare. The numbers of abortions per year need to make their way down, and abortions need to become an absolute last resort, not just an easy way out. Abortions have been around for a long time, and it does not seem like they will be going anywhere any time soon, therefore everybody should be educated on abortions and the risks related to them.
