The ecosystem includes living organisms such as animals, plans and other organisms. In the system everything is in cohesion, therefore if something is wrong, it will affect everything else. Acid rain destroys the forest ecosystem. It affects the plants in order to damage their tissue and it does changes to soil water. Soil water is the mineral and nutriet which is necessary for trees to grow. Too much acid in soils can lead to erosion. It can also lead to less nutrients and more toxic materials. If the soil water is infected with acid rain it will destroy the plants. Other creatures who depend on these plants will lose their source of food and they will suffer as well. Moreover, acid fog has a negative effect on trees. Because of less nutrients, the trees aren't abele to absporb the sunlight. Acid rain also affects aquatic animals because it changes their pH level. By decreasing pH level, the aluminium level increases and causes toxic water for fish. Toxicity doesn't necessary kill the fish but they have a negative impact on their size and weight. Moreover, acid rains affect the reproduction of fish. It also lowers down their ability to receive all necessery oxygen and nutrients which they need for everyday survival. Minerals and salt are essential for fish to grow and live, and if the pH level is low it has a harmful impact on their balance. All of this makes their habitat harder to obtain. When power plants burn fossil fuels they release sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxide and they produce electricity. Moreover, everyday transport such as buses and cars, they also release sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxide from their exhaust fumes. This matters especially urban areas where there are a lot of traffic (cars). Acid rain and its emissions nit only affect our environment but also our health. Governments around the world have been dealing with this problem. We can say it has become a major problem which needs to be taken care of. Canada and the USA have signed an agreement in which countries will do their best to reduce emissions of sulphur dioxide. Not long before that, tehre was also one program called the Clean Air Pact Amendment which wanted to reduce the nitrogen oxide. The government has set up some regulations where sulphur and nitrogen compounds can be reducted. First of all, they want to reduce the limit of emissions which is released in the air. In order to do that, they suggest putting catalytic converters. They would be put on cars and while producing the exhaust fumes and passing through this catalytic converter, it would come out cleaner and more acceptable to the environment. Moreover, plants have to pass coal cleaning before combustion. Also, they can burn coal with a subituminous coal, but this process is not very cheap. There are some strategies which are very effective. One of them
