Service learning is a form of education that promotes social responsibility and service to the community. One benefit of service learning is that it keeps the teenagers out of trouble. Another benefit is that encourage adolescents to become less self-centered. One more benefit is that it encourage more strongly motivated to help others.

Ethnic identity deepens during adolescence because they identity in some ways with their ethnic group and in other ways with the majority culture.
