He was born in the Branau am Inn in Austria on April 20, 1889, to Alois Hitler and Klara Polz and was the fourth of six children. At the age of 3, Hitler’s family left Austria and moved to Germany. When he was a child he clashed with his father frequently. His father wanted him to have interest in business, however Hitler preferred the arts. He rejected the authority of Austria-Hungary and became interested in Nationalism, which would come to be the motivating force of Hitler’s life. Two years after the sudden death of his father in 1903, Hitler’s mom allowed him to quit school. He then moved to Vienna where he did some watercolor painting and worked as a day laborer. Hitler ran for presidency in 1932. Though he came in second he became a strong force in German politics. He was appointed as a chancellor to try and show a balance in politics. This is where he formed this dictatorship style government by ensuring the passing of the Enabling Act. This allowed him the deviate away from the constitution and gain control of the executive and legislative branches of government. By July 14, 1933 the only political party in Germany was Hitler’s Nazi Party. One day prior to the death of Paul Hindenburg, current president of Germany, a law abolishing the office of president was passed. Hitler became head of state and the government. This lead to him becoming the head of the armed forces. Hitler immediately began to increase the Germany army, pulled out of the League of Nations and started mobilizing for
