An Advanced Pharmacology course from an accredited educational institution must be successfully completed, as well as advanced courses in Pathophysiology and health assessment. The pharmacology course must be forty-five contact hours, minimally. The purpose of the course is to establish safe and effective prescription of medications and therapeutic devices.
