Also, there are some of the reasons which led to this. Indeed, the mechanization of the agriculture was a fiction for those times, actually, nobody could dream about it. The second problem was that crop yields were on the low level and it comes out as a consequence of the first reason. Taking that into account, it is not a surprise, that the third estate was the major one, as people needed food and agriculture was the only way to get it. Therefore, the percentage of the population, which was a part of th third estate, was so high. It is a fact that, a big group of people is usually ruled by someone and it helps to avoid the chaos.. That is why, the final and the second estates were created to make a balance and put in order all the processes, which took place in the agrarian civilization. In such way, it led to the existence of the social hierarchy. Even though it seemed to be unfair, but it was an experience which mankind have got as only our own mistakes can lead to something great. Actually, the aristocracy used it as weapon of dominance over the third estate, and the church used the aristocracy as a way of enrichment. In fact, it is possible to outline the influence of the church over the aristocracy. It is known that lead religion in Europe during the Middles Ages was the Roman Catholicism. As a consequence, the influence of the Patriarch of Rome and Vatican were extremely high. It was an honor for the emperors to go to Rome to be crowned by the Pope. The reason was that the religion was able to connect the territories give the identity and stick together people. Actually, the most important was the ability to manipulate the third estate, as its people were busy with agriculture problems and praying. They found the sense of life in God and tried to live by his laws. On the whole, the influence of the church was equivalent to the influence of the aristocracy or even more significant in some ways. It came out as a perfect method to organize the third estate and throw away any idea or rebellion in their minds. Religion was a part of their identification.
