Three test tubes where number 1-3, the first and second test tubes (#1,#2) where mark at 1cm and 5cm from the bottom of the test tube while test tube #3 was mark at 3cm and 7cm. Test tube #1 was filled up to the 1cm mark with distilled water and to 5cm with Hydrogen peroxide. The substance was swirl for 30 seconds and the height of the bubbles column where recorded. Test tube #2 was fill up to the 1cm mark with catalase and to the 5cm mark with hydrogen peroxide. The substance was swirl for 30 second and the height of the bubbles column where recorded.…
Filter holders were sterilized for 3 minutes. Fixed the membrane filter and 250ml sample water is placed into upper beaker and applied vacuum pressure, which helped water pass through the membrane filter in the lower beaker. The filter membrane is removed from the holder with sterile tweezer and placed on…
The team leader for this experiment was Kyle McClain. Zach Verlander was supposed to be the recorder for this lab, but since he dropped the class I took his place as the recorder for the experiment. Greg was in charge of the backside of the heat exchanger apparatus, while Kyle controlled the front side of the apparatus. Greg monitored the pressure gauge of the steam inlet and measured the steam inlet temperature off of the temperature gauge. Kyle used the thermocouple meter to read the pressure of the steam outlet, water inlet, and water outlet streams in the heat exchanger.…
A little surprised, Brooke acknowledged the meeting and went about her business. “Thanks Jan, I will meet with him as soon as I am finished with the narcotic count”. Brooke felt extremely uncomfortable with this drug-sharing situation. She dispensed the medications to the staff and inconspicuously pocketed a few large vials of narcotics.…
Mammals: Description: Mammals are warm-blooded animals so they are able to live in almost any climate in the world. They are a vertebrate, which means they have a backbone or spine. Most live on land and they typically give birth to live young. Description of gas exchange: In mammals gas exchange takes place in the lungs.…
The first and foremost procedure for this lab is to be familiarized with the lab equipment. The principle components to be interacted in this lab is the work station, the wind tunnel, the AOA adjusting handle, the airfoil with tufts, and the wind tunnel frequency controller. Switch the control mode for the tunnel frequency controller to be LOC or local of local control would be used instead of remote control. Make sure that the tubes are connected in a way such that the air and pressure should be transmitted without being obstructed. After familiarized with the lab instruments, the LabVIEW program for AE 460 should be started.…
Before students took their simulation lab classes, the ATC knowledge students may have acquired was typically through reading, lecture, and multimedia presentations. They may not have had the opportunity to exercise ATC skill before their ATC simulation classes unless they had exposure to an air traffic control video game prior to taking the simulation courses. At this point, students would only have a basic theoretical awareness of the extent of ATC technology and the use of techniques by controllers to separate air traffic. It therefore makes sense why students would on some level disagree they possessed the self-efficacy to perform ATC tasks and self-efficacy in ATC ability since they had not had the opportunity to try it for themselves in the ATC simulation lab.…
In 1996 mount Everest made its mark on history again with yet another large disaster. The night of May 10 eight climbers lost their lives to Everest in a 12 hour period. With a total of 12 deaths in total that month. At the end of april 1996 three expeditions set out to summit Everest with a total of 33 climbers on the mountain, on may 10 nineteen climbers were trapped in the death zone (above 8 000 meters) that night of May tenth. In extreme cases like the ‘96 disaster people are presented with extreme survival situations and true colours show through and they can either show extreme selflessness or extreme selfishness and both.…
Sometime ago I was discussing with some peers about the difference between a ‘job’ in the Air Force vs. ‘career.’ Many of us when asked ‘What do you do?’ respond by stating what specific duty we fulfill in the Air Force, however, at the end of the day, we are all airmen. Airmanship is at the core of what it means to be a member of the United States Air Force. Being an Airman is professing your occupation as a member of the Air Force, and therefore, must possess a level of selflessness, a sense of pride, and that your efforts serve the greater good.…
Starting the Virtual Life Simulation, I gave birth to a male baby named Leo. Prior to the simulation, I completed a questionnaire about my temperament, emotional wellbeing, as well as my educational strengths and weaknesses. Leo inherited my timid shyness, slow-to-warm up temperament, rapid mood swings, and poor mathematical skills. Consequently, I used an authoritative parenting style which promotes independence but under guidance. My goal was to help Leo achieve his individualistic goals and mitigate negative stresses implemented from genetics and the environment.…
Airway/Pain Management Mentor Experience Reflection Mentoring is the most valued factor in an educational setting. The performance of the group depends on the competency of the mentor. Confidentially, professional skill and communication are the three most important characteristics of an instructor pose to have an active mentorship (Dunn, 2012). Professional competency of the mentor is one of the principal mentor characters leads the mentee towards professional skill development. In the mentoring process, the key players are the mentor and the mentee (Green & Jackson, 2014).…
The long white trails that follow an airplane, streaking across the sky, can be wondered by children and adults. People consider these lingering streaks beautiful, but many are alarmed by them. People all around the world have come up with theories on these chemtrails. Although these trails may seem beautiful, they can be harmful. Jet engines spew out very hot air, and because the water vapor is one the the byproducts of the exhaust, the air is also very humid.…
The opening of the tube was immediately covered with cotton balls. This was to prevent air from coming in and out of the tube. The tubes were tied together in upright position. Any external disturbance on the tube was avoided. The CO2 formed at the vertical arm of the tube were measured by a commercial 12-inch ruler.…
A Helmholtz resonator is a rigid container which has an opening to the air surrounding it. A common example of a Helmholtz resonator is a bottle because it has a set volume as well as having an opening which is open to the surrounding air. By considering the Helmholtz resonator as having a neck, such as the neck of a wine bottle, the dynamics of the system may be described. When energy is introduced near the opening of the bottle, for example blowing across it, some of the energy will vibrate the cylindrical plug of air inside the neck of the bottle. This plug of air is assumed to move as a unit.…
I. INTRODUCTION (OVERVIEW) Before the pilot use the real cockpit of the real aeroplane, they need to train their skill by using a system called flight simulator. Flight simulator is the system that looks like the real cockpit of the airplane but the truth is, it’s only a fake cockpit that had been designed special for the pilot training. The simulator were designed to help the pilot to test or train their skill in handling the cockpit in every situation that they might face during handling the real cockpit of the real airplane.…
