Thus the socially oriented students are gathered and more likely to exchange information about party-style femininity and refuse to befriend with those lack of the know-how to perform this femininity (a sing inferring having valuable social connections to upper-class people). There are 300 student organizations in NTU, and the most visible to me is student association. The association has power and financial support from both government and students to negotiate with NTU. On March 18th, 2014, student revolution against Free Trade Act (Cross-Straits Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement) with China started, and the members of student association successfully persuade several departments officially stop courses and encourage students to go to the street. This made me one of the proponents sitting in front of the congress since I did not have to worry about the academic performance. Holding NTU’s three traditional events (just like Greek system holding homecomings in MU), their emphasis on academic work is clear. For instance, one of the events “NTU Azalea Festival: The Department and Student Club Expo” distributes better field with the airconditioner in the new gym for student organizations focusing on majors, while for common visitors, the most attracting part of the festival is the booths for sports, dancing, or music clubs.
