In 1830 Jackson also vetoed the Maysville road bill, which would’ve made the federal governments purchase of stock for the road only within Kentucky. The only reason he didn’t allow the bill is because the roads would’ve been built in the hometown of his longtime foe Henry Clay Jackson. Also on July 10th, 1832, Jackson vetoed the bill that would have re-instated the charter for the second bank of the United States of America. It was one of the most definitive acts that happened during his presidency. This sums up why I believe Andrew Jackson was not a good president. A good president would not put the lives of many innocent people in jeopardy to try to steal power and centralize himself in the government.
