Arriving at the hospital the nurses did not waste anytime I was rushed into a room and a nurse walked in she spent what felt like forever explain what her job was. She said “I’m a burn care nurse I treat patients who have been burned.” She spent more time telling me what the plan was starting from the normal treatment. She told me that my burns cover my whole feet and up my legs. Before I processed what she said before they provided me with an oxygen mask telling me that it’s only going to make sure I get enough oxygen. With all the doctors running around it’s hard to focus on what they are trying to tell me. Next thing I know I’m getting a needle shoved in my arm filled with fluids but they state it’s only to restore the fluid and electrolyte balance. My anesthesiologist finally got to the point saying I am going to need reconstructive surgery which is also going to incorporate a skin graft. While the anesthesiologist is looking over my burns she is explaining what a skin graft consists of, she says, “it is a surgical operation in which pieces of healthy skin is transplanted to a new place of the body (Stang)”. The doctors are saying the skin graft is going to take place as soon as it can and she was going to send other doctors to come check me out. They also informed me that
