While elucidating each piece, I will go in chronological order. The first piece on the list is Fur Elise by Beethoven. Adding Beethoven to our list was essential because he was a significant influence on the culture, even in the 21st Century; *Mozart even stated that Beethoven would be a great composer in quotes, "Keep your eyes on him; someday he will give the world something to talk about." Can 't Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley is the second piece because Elvis was acknowledged as The King of Rock and Roll for an abundance of decades. The piece Can 't Help Falling in Love was chosen because it genuinely depicted the simplicity of love during the 1960s; *my mother influenced me to suggest the song to my group when she claimed that the definition of love was beginning to blur in the 21st Century. Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley, I Want to Hold Your Hand by The Beatles, Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson were included in the list due to how marvelously they could represent the style of music in the 1970s to the 1990s and the fact that these artists were surpassingly worshipped during their time. The next pieces are all part of the 21st Century, but represent different genres. For the heavy metal area of music my group and I chose Snuff by Slipknot. For pop music we chose Baby by Justin Bieber, Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Ray, and Hello by Adele. Baby expressed the upbeat style of 21st Century music while Hello expressed pop music that was slower and more meaningful while Young and Beautiful depicted an alternative type of pop music. Coming in as the tenth piece is Tonight Looks Good on You by Jason Aldean. This piece flawlessly portrays the style and ideas that built up modern country
