Franklin’s first introduction to politics was in a meeting of several colonial representatives. He then went on into becoming an ambassador for the United States. Benjamin Franklin is the only founding father to have signed all four of the key documents establishing the U.S.: the Declaration of Independence (1776), the Treaty of Alliance with France (1778), the Treaty of Paris establishing peace with Great Britain (1783) and the U.S. Constitution (1787). Franklin died at an age of 84 in 1790. Even after death Benjamin Franklin is still widely accepted as one of the most famous people in history. There are statues and there are monuments of him all around the United States. His writings and his teachings are still read and taught all over the United Stated even to this day.
