They are made up of people who are disproportionally represented and are led by someone who is disproportionally advantaged (63). NAACP, for example, is a well connect organization that gets it networks from other organization that operates under it. They have support and solidarity with other organization (62). For a movement to succeed in a society that is against it, network and connection matters because put them in a social and political advantage. The movement started as a hashtag (#BlackLivesMatter) and it became widespread throughout the nation. Trayvon Martin was 17 years African America who went to the convenient store but was wear a hoodie. Zimmerman explains to the police officer that he was acting in self-defense because Trayvon was trying to attack him. Therefore, he shot it in order to protect himself. Zimmerman was not arrested or charged and was set free. In the event of race, Zimmerman’s father Robert Zimmerman expressed that George Zimmerman was not white but Hispanic. Therefore, there the case was not a Black vs White issues. The public was outraged about the verdict of Zimmerman being innocent from such a crime. A rallied was held for the arrest of Zimmerman but authorities did not nothing, and found him innocent of the crime and place him under witness protection
