The characters everyday activities are given with their past which explains how the sense of their own identity formed and has been continuously reshaped over their life. Therefore, when Rafael drove car he tried the best to follow law. But Celia believes that he’ll look like natives if he tries to blend in with all, which Rafael comments as ‘the way of the world.’ Because Celia have experienced adapting to a new place during her immigration, I believe it to be the reason of her ‘blend in’ view. She might have gone through situations when she was ignored because she looked different or by the way of speaking, clothing and eating; and then she changed herself to be like all others. I had thinking like Celia, but a situation changed it. Once I went to a Chinese restaurant, I tried to eat like them, using sticks, but I was unable to as it wasn’t the way I knew. So, I picked up the spoon and easily ate it, enjoying the taste. I feel that when one tries to copy others their own identity is lost. The fun and enjoyment of the situation is supressed by the their work on changing their identity and be in someone’s format.
