He used his hatchet to start a fire. He needed to make fire so he could stay warm and cook his meals, so he used his hatchet to make sparks off of the cave’s wall. His resourcefulness also helped him make tools using his hatchet. He was able to make a bow and arrow. He made the bow and arrows by using a sticks, string, and stones from the cave’s wall.
In closing, Brian’s boldness helped him to survive in the wild for 57 days. In the end of the story, he then found a bag of food, water, and medicines. Brian was then rescued by a pilot in a plane and brought back to his family safely.
