He also points out how the ultimate goal is to resolve the conflict, between modes of production and modes of exchange since it can cause a massive destruction which will put an end to the anarchy of production. Furthermore, capitalism encourages the idea of social production and individual appropriation, but, there are many conflicts from it. The main conflict arises from an increase in technology of the machines since they are taking away jobs from hand labor workers, thus causing a splurge of laborers, which makes a massive amount of unemployment. This further leads to no money, which then leads to no one buying the goods that are produced by capitalists. This is the vicious cycle that Engels mentions that needs to break before the economy collapses.
