An appropriate case selection and consideration of all biological aspects leads to a better out come in ATT. The preservation of PDl is necessary for survival of the transplanted tooth and may result with ankylosis or rejection (8).
Aim: The aim of this case report is to demonstrate a successful replacement of grossly decayed untreatable second mandibular molar tooth with its adjacent completely developed third mandibular molar.
Case Report: A 22-year-old female had reported to our dental department with a complaint of pain in relation to her right lower posterior teeth since 1 month and had been under medication since then. Clinical examination revealed good oral hygiene but the second molar was grossly decayed. Periodontal probing depths did not exceed 3 mm; however, the involved tooth was tender to percussion and palpation. The radiographic examination showed caries in the second molar. The patient was informed about the decayed tooth; and extraction was recommended to her.
