Chief Farmer stated several member were contaminated by a solution inside the building of 780 Cottage Grove Road. Chief Farmer is working with another District Chief Bill Riley and the Fire Marshall Bill Lewis to find out if the gear should be terminated. The solution is Creosote, which could produce cancer. The gear has been taken out of service for right now, waiting to see, what to do with it. The house is vacant. The District needs to know if the house has insurance, so it could replace the District’s gear.

HOUSE CAPTAIN’S REPORT: Homeland Security Dave and FM Nelson will revamp the access group in the office system now will be limited. The Junior firefighters will not be allowed after 9:00 p.m. hours. The new Laser Printers are within the same Network. The Station 4 bathroom is being renovated for under $5,000 dollars. Surveillance camera should be set up at Headquarters for security.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH REPORT: The District has been invited to Celebrate Bloomfield on June 1-5, 2016, with an East Side Carnival. The Education Fun Day will be May 7, 2016. BHFD will be hosting a Coat Drive and Chairman Farmer has contacted the regional director for The Firefighters for Operation Warmth Drive.
