Introduction
Human activities has caused increase of dangerous air pollutant and climate change which has led to serious health illness, the increase in population is directly proportional to the increase in human sources of pollution. In the early model of Earth’s atmosphere, oxygen was a minor component of the Earth’s atmosphere and so many theories were made up for why this was so. However, as life evolved, oxygen became abundant. Today, oxygen and nitrogen makes up the largest volume of gases in the Earth’s atmosphere with 78.09% and 20.95% respectively and consist of trace gases. Trace gases makes up less than 1%, example of a trace gases …show more content…
This effect does not just affect the environment or country generating the pollution but also people in less developing countries, developing countries and developed countries around the world could suffer greatly from the pollution generated elsewhere (Hajime Akimoto), this can have an huge negative effect on the less developed or underdeveloped countries considering the fact that they have no or less medical treatment or attention towards this pollution. Air pollution are mostly generated in urban area because most the human activities takes place here, the largest source of air pollution in the urban areas are from automobile exhaust. Observations of various tropospheric air pollutant such as CO, HCHO, NO2 and SO2 has revealed pollution on the global scale. CO has a significant portion from automobiles exhausts and biomass burning, air pollution by CO is very disturbing because of its effect on oxidation in the …show more content…
Earth’s energy balance is determined by the balance between incoming and outgoing energy which regulates its average temperature and long-term state. Any factor that can alter the amount of incoming and outgoing energy can lead to climate change, but not all climate change are caused by human, nature itself has an impact on climate change such as: changes in volcanic activities, solar output and the Earth’s orbit around the sun, this factors affects climate change on a short-term and long-term. The effects of global climate change is already observable in our environment such as: ice on rivers and lakes are breaking off easily, glacier shrunk. Effects predicted by scientist in the past as a result of global climate change are now occurring: loss of sea ice, more intense heat waves and accelerated sea level rise. With all the observations and effect some people claim it’s a sign the world is coming to an end. But is the world really coming to an
