This nonfiction book discussed the causes of the American Revolution. “Causes of the Revolution” is an easy book to read and has some amazing images. Students will be engaged in the text as they learn about everything the colonists faced. This book describes the Stamp Act, the Townshend Act, and Intolerable Acts. The author included some interesting facts that explore the reasons behind the following documents: The First Continental Congress, The Declaration of Rights and Grievances, Thomas Paine's Common Sense, and the Declaration of Independence. The author made it easy for readers to understand the content as well as the issues that lead to the American Revolution.

It is a piece of history that was written to show what was faced during this time. People suffered, people were injured and colonist faced some very hard times trying to separate from Great Britain’s control. This poem is a great excerpt that is paired well with the following text.
