In regard to another characteristic of the human service profession, one of that could be the foundation of the treatment given to the client, it is undoubtedly the respect. This will definitely create and enabling the right environment for the client to receive the necessary assistance to its problematic. No profession will succeed if the ingredient of respect for those who are served are not practiced, specifically considering race, gender, disability etc.
Unfortunately the times in which we live are times in which many of these characteristics are not practiced either for one reason or another. As a professional and also as a son of God, it is my daily prayer that not only these characteristics mentioned above can be practiced in my professional field, but also those who as children of God we need to practice them, as being sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit of God which is the only one that will reveal what is hidden in each one of the problems in our clients and where the human eye cannot
