Chrohn’s disease does not have a cure, but it has many alternative ways of reducing the symptoms. Immune suppressants can help reduce the immune systems inflammatory response; there are various medicines that can help control each symptom you may have acquired from this disease. Other treatment options include surgery; it was found that 70% of patients will have to go through surgery later on in their lifetime. Around 30% of patients that went through surgery will have a flare-up (sudden reappearance or worsening of symptoms) within three years. The stakes increase as years go by, after 10 years 60% of patients (had surgery) will have a flare up. These treatments work not by curing the entire disease, since you cannot just dispose of it, but they reduce pain from the symptoms by treating that as if they were their own individual
