This report is a moderately detailed account of a child by the name of Chester Rashad Lewis who appeared to be struggling with his academic performance. For this reason, he was then referred for clinical assessment. As a result, his developmental history was taken in account and then behavioral observations and testing took place which supports the first goal listed above. When the abnormalities were detected via observation and testing, then a proper diagnosis was given based on the symptoms shown by the child. According to the report, Chester had Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Mixed Receptive- Expressive language Disorder, Disorder of Written Expression and Psychosocial Stressors. After the diagnosis, then there was a detailed explanation as to why he was diagnosed these disorders and how it affects his cognitive abilities and normal functioning. Therefore, this coincides with the second goal explained earlier in this paper. Furthermore, recommendations and treatment options was explored to help Chester to cope with these disorders and overcome these challenges to ease everyday life interactions and functioning. This aspect of the assessment supports the third goal which is to provide proper recommendations and treatments to lessen the affect that the disorder(s) has on regular cognitive functioning and consequently improve the quality of life for both the client and their loved
