DESCRIPTION OF THE CODE OF CONDUCT
The code of conduct describes the relationship and rules and guidelines that guide the operation of Shell. They explain the rules to govern the day to day operation of each member of the company. These rules and standard should get upheld by each member of the company. The relationship between the employees themselves and between the employees and outsiders i.e. customers and the general population are well defined.

Shell instructs and requires of its employees to safeguard the company’s information and its assets. It elaborates on the importance it gives to the personal information of its employees and customers and what it expects of them. It also directs on how the employees should utilize the assets of the company and limits on the use of the company’s assets for personal use. It also explains on the importance of the company’s data and how this data should get protected. The chapter also elaborates on record management expected of the employees. The values should also be positioned in the first page as they are the centre of the company’s codes of conduct.Shell should also state their laws in this code of conduct as these laws are also referred to in the chapters of the code of conduct. The company should also place or give a link to the various laws that the company should adhere to. They should try and state the laws that the company is bound by in the various states.Some information in the code of conduct should be classified according to the level of employment.
