The Journey: High school to College College is something that everyone wants or wishes to attend but most do not have the willpower to start or finish the journey. Most all seniors in high school say they want to attend college, but in reality only 65.9 percent of seniors actually go to college. I went to school and everyday when I got home I knew that there was work to be done. There was a list of chores that I had to do everyday and I was not able to eat dinner until I finished. By the time I was 11 years old I was able to drive a little tractor to carry hay to the back pasture to feed the dry cows. About a year after she split up with my father she met my step-dad and they have been together ever since. What came next in my life was the hardest thing I ever had to go through. I was only 8 years old when my father passed away two weeks before my 9th birthday. He was 38 years and had a complex heart disease that no one knew about along with diabetes. After his death I was down and depressed and did not really want to do much because of what had happened. I started thinking to myself what he would want me to do in this situation, so I stopped moping around and started to get my head straight with sports and school. He is still what pushes me today and I am thankful that even though he is gone he can still be with me to help my along this
