The lack of education some how causes individuals to smoke. Smokers can get involved with things including drugs and alcohol. The question on drug and alcohol abuse will help a team relate their impact on smokers as they lead to not only but also other conditions that increase the risk. “more than 3,200 people under 18 smoke their first cigarette, and approximately 2,100 youth and young adults become daily smokers.” Placing information in High schools will help to detect the risk of children under 18 wanting to smoke and these risk can also be minimized by the visiting the health department..
PRECEDE PROCEED MODEL This model can be effectively used in averting, control and health education to the community members concerning smoking. The health stakeholders will employ the model to prepare, execute and evaluate programs aimed at alienating the health issues that smokers have. The major predisposing factors are education and age. Community diagnosis should be carried out to realize the extent of the problem prior to any interventional measures. PRECEDE PROCEED Model (PPM) is important to the community health assessment process from the point of planning evaluation and implementation of the interventional measures.
