“Firstly, in an authoritarian regime the economy is quite different from a totalitarian regime, in an authoritarian regime there are private property and private enterprise. The rich and poor are abounding. There is free market and maybe be agrarian property of free market. While in an Totalitarian regime they have no private property of free market. The government owns all means of production and the collective output should be redistributed equally. Secondly the authoritarian regime political system is full of corruption, bribery, cronyism and nepotism while a totalitarian state has advisors to the government who are generally picked by merit/ dedication and their loyalty to the state and party. Thirdly an authoritarian state if you are caught committing a crime you can be exiled, torture, abused, imprisoned or purged.
