This book also explains the controversy between Darwin’s theory and the claimed facts of other naturalists. Other naturalists claim that every species have unique traits and capabilities and are their own species. Charles Darwin explains species evolve through the environment creating a branch of new generation species. Darwin’s theory is the opposite of other naturalist’s observations, so Darwin perceive them as ignorant. He perceives them as ignorant because people do not have the mind capabilities to see the change of natural selection. Natural selection happens very slowly that we cannot see it. The change is complete after we look back again, thus naturalist believing in organism being its own species. Darwin says he will not convince naturalists who are stubborn of their facts because it is futile to attempt. Darwin hopes the new generation of naturalists will allow both Darwin’s theory and other naturalist’s observations into their …show more content…
John Scopes who is a teacher was found guilty for teaching evolution, so he was forced to be in a case. Bryan heard of this case and decided to contribute to the prosecution of Scopes. Clarence Darrow who is an intermediate lawyer was the defender of Scopes in the case. This case was called The Scopes Monkey Trial, and became a big controversy in the 18th century. The passed law stated that any theory denying the story of god shall be banned from public schools curriculum (Darwin’s theory). With this law, the two lawyers stood up in the Scopes Monkey Trial against Scopes. Scopes was found guilty in the end of the case because he taught evolution in public schools. This whole controversy was generated by arguments, misinterpretations, and people’s beliefs. Humanity naturally has controversy over scientific observations and religious beliefs. This whole issue of how humanity portraying nature as a monstrous theory against human beliefs all originated through the observation of Charles Darwin Natural Selection. Humanity has the drive to fight for what they believe in, but is what they believe in the actual truth? Charles Darwin stated that humans do not have the mind capability to view the changes of Natural Selection, thus people not believing. There are mysteries we will never know about because the human potential is not enough. We do not see it but nature and god’s creation may be intertwined, but humanity
