Other components like the Elements of Culture are basically the key values of culture. Like material comfort for example, since Kuwait is very involved in it. And also racism and group superiority. Lots of people in Kuwait judge others based on their social class. The technology and culture component allows us to have a better exposure to different cultures all around the world. For example, we use the internet to learn about other cultures. For the cultural diversity component, we have the high culture and the popular culture. High culture for example is having a horse as a pet, the popular culture is football or pop music. Global culture is the way the world communicates globally. I only asked one question though because she kept talking and talking which covered the rest of my questions that I wanted to ask. I asked "What differences did you experience when you first came to Kuwait? What shocked you?" The first thing she talked about was how hot the weather is here. She wasn't used to the hot weather back in her country. This related to the example I gave about cultural shock. She also said she was surprised on how people dressed here, she saw guys wearing "long white dresses" and some women all covered up in black. I understand why she's shocked because our tradional clothing looks nothing like how they dress in America. She told me she was amazed on how almost all Kuwaitis are related to eachother, like they're all cousins. I never knew people found that fascinating. Then I asked her questions based on culture and human freedom. I asked "Do you have more freedom here or are you restricted?" She said that she thought she would have the freedom to wear and say whatever she wants but she realized she's a little more restricted when she came to Kuwait because she can't be like how she was before. Like she has to watch what she says about religion, and that some things aren't okay in the Arab culture. She said she can't go out with her boyfriend in public because it isn't appropriate in Kuwait's culture. I kind of felt bad for her because she feels like she's restricted from many
