I believe that a CD should relate to the current experiences that learners are faced with so that it can provide them with guidance they require and the appropriate techniques that they can use to overcome problems and issues that affect their professional and personal lives.
Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) This is my first experience with developing a CD and in an effort to keep on track I believe that using “the traditional step-by-step linear approach” (Cranton, 2012, p. 2) such as the ADDIE model will work best for me because it is a systematic process that has the flexibility to move between phases as required. It has all the necessary phase that a CD requires to develop/implement training activities. It can be used in a face-to-face instruction which is the most effective method for instructing and learning ASL.
Analysis of the design model components The following is an analysis of the design model components and was used “to determine whether instruction should be part of the solution” (Morrison, 2013, p. …show more content…
The primary audience is composed of both male and female learners, aged 21-50, with post-secondary education, who are employed in occupations where being able to communicate and interact effectively using American Sign Language will improve their professional competencies and possibly save lives.
