The central power, consisted of Germany, Russia, and Turkey while the allied powers comprised of France, Britain, Russia, Italy, Japan, and the US. They were the ones whom produced the treaty but when they did they brought it to their favor leaving one nation to receive the brunt of the “peace” treaty. Germany, although may have started the war was left with a disadvantage when the treaty was being drafted. The treaty can be seen as flawed when it came down to its equality when Germany was not included in the conference, leaving them out of the loop and without the ability to negotiation the terms of the treaty. Due to this manner of how they nations reacted to the treaty when created, left no room for the central power to negotiate. However, the major allied powers all held different opinions on how they would make Germany pay. Great Britain was the median of the three where they thought that Germany does deserve the harsh punishment but should not have to shoulder all the blame, but France thought differently. France thought that the Germans should pay for the damages and receive punitive punishment, because France had taken the most damages in the duration of the war.
