As early as 1650, the colony of Massachusetts Bay was a commercial success. But an inadequate supply of money put its future development in jeopardy. England themselves were in short supply and could not send gold and silver coins to the colonies. Massachusetts took matters into their own hands at this point. Boston authorities gave permission to two settlers, John Hull and Robert Sanderson to set up a mint in the capital in 1652.…

For quite some time, approximately a century and a half, the occupants of Indiana have been associated with the nickname “Hoosiers”. Other states have their individual unique name for the occupants as well. For example, the Buckeyes of Ohio, Suckers of Illinois, Tarheels of North Carolina, and many other states too, still, none of them seem to be as renowned as Indiana’s, and for good reasons too. It also has quite a bit more acceptance than most. Many already know, but some must be considering the unknown reason of why Indiana people are called Hoosiers, and why it has such significance.…
I feel as if were in the Massachusetts Bay Colonies' best interests to provide public education, and for a number of reasons. The first is it would educate the younger generation equally to those that used it, and help to impact the future positively for the colony. Another Reason is it will bring together many people at a young age and require them to grow up with one another, making cooperation and friendliness more common than not. I believe it is good for the government to provide educcation, as it ensures everyone a fair chance to it versus another place or time where they might not.…
The hills and rivers, the city reminded the people of Rome, Italy. Before the European settlers came to Rome, it was the home of the Creek and the Cherokee Indians. There’s Something in the Water Relaxing on a beach or fishing on a river are fun activities. The water always looks clean and fresh. They say that Creeks came from a small Muscogee tribe that was separated from their group by European men after they ran off a moderate sized tribe. The arrival of various Creek and other Muscogee people to Florida in the mid-1700s signaled the genesis of what would eventually be recognized as the Seminole tribe of Florida. These Indians settled in parts of Florida where the original, albeit much less in numbers, inhabitants of Florida still resided. Many of the Florida Indians by the time of the British arrival were trading for decades with the Spanish and its colonies to the immediate south. The Creek nation was a loose confederation of disparate tribes, and some Creeks who did not share the nation’s policy of trade with the British colonies migrated to Florida. But despite the geographical separation into Spanish territory, many still identified themselves as Creek.…
