From the map you can see that not all the continents have the same population density. For instance, Antarctica has a population density of 0.000079! That is less than one person per square kilometer and Antarctica is an whole continent! The reason that none of the continents have the same population is because of the birth rate. Birth rate indicates the number of live births occurring during the year, per 1,000 population estimated at midyear. …show more content…
The first thing I noticed was all the tropical forests and jungles. They are all spread over Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana. After I observed that, I looked the population density of the countries which had mass areas of jungles and forests. The reason that Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana had sparse Population density was because the countries are covered with jungles which don’t provide spaces for people to live. The other countries that were affected with the jungles had a moderate population density because the forests and jungles controlled it. The next thing I noticed were the mountains and mangrove. I noticed that these were spread over Chile and that was the cause which made Chile have a medium population density. In general I then found out that the reason that South America has a moderate population density is because of the Highlands, Mangrove, Forests, Savannas, Deserts, and Wetlands. All these things are spread uniformly around the whole continent. Because of all these
