One of these classes being communication classes (ADA). One might say it is important to take these classes because it is necessary to communicate with patients about oral care and how to maintain great oral hygiene. Being able to communicate will show how skillful that person is. Another important factor of education is dental pharmacology. This course is necessary have because one must be aware of what drug is necessary to help with the conditions of the patient’s mouth and know what effect those medications have. If prescribed something there are always side effect, so knowing what triggers what helps (ADA). Depending on the advancement given and pursued, salary can vary anywhere from 25,000 dollars to 47,000 dollars or even more (Fofweb). Obtaining more training can also increase the starter salary (Fofweb). Clinical practices, teaching, experience, school health programs are also different opportunities that lead to high pay (Fofweb). Based off the facts of this field, the salary is livable off of, it is not going to make you rich, but you can live by it. Greater the education meant the greater the salary, along with pay, different locations all have an effect on you income (Fofweb). Of course by advancing into becoming an actual dentist, will also advance your pay, but at the end of the day if the place is enjoyable, the stress for more money is not
