This theory describes how an infancy is dependent upon its caregiver in order to provide for our basic needs and allow us to develop trust when these needs are met (Berk, 2014). The infancy stage shown in Erikson 's theory relates to my experience within the infancy stages of development. My psychosocial development was influenced by my experience of how I grew up developing a close relationship with my mother as she provided me with all my basic needs and as Erikson has stated that being in a close relationship with your caregiver/s allows a trustworthy bond between the infant and caregiver. I can state that my relationship with my mother was successful and this is because I received a reliable and consistent amount of care and nurture, therefore, I am able to trust others and feel safe. Erikson indicates that a success within this stage leads to the virtue of hope (Berk, 2014), again my experiences show a connection between the theory of Trust vs Mistrust and my psychosocial development as I am able to trust others around me as a source of support. Therefore, within the cognitive domain of development, Jean Piaget developed a theory of the Preoperational stage. Between the ages of two to six years, I experienced my playful years where I developed an interest in toys and art. I was told by my parents that I enjoyed playing make believe, this is where I would like to play with a group of friends and pretend we were apart of a fairytale. Piaget 's theory supports my experience within the domain of cognitive development, Piaget states that this shows an example of representation within this stage, therefore, it helped me enhance my strengthens acquired with representation schemes where I was able to engage in symbolic play. The theory states that a success at this stage affects the child 's development as they develop a voluntary behavior where others may benefit from, again I can support this due to my development till early adulthood as I am an individual who tends to help and support those around me also those within the society. This shows a connection with my development of my emotional domain as shown I am a very supportive and volunteering individual, I am also a very shy individual who tends to show a lot of empathy. Due to Piaget 's theory, it shows an
