Cognitive development can be defined as the gradual improvement of certain skills such as memory, information processing, conception, perception, reasoning, and language (Sun, 2008). Jean Piaget is a Swiss developmental psychologist and philosopher who is recognized as an influential figure in many studies of cognition in regard to children (Blake, B.; Pope T., 2008). According to Piaget’s cognitive development theory, there are 4 stages of intellectual Maturity. The 4 stages occur during occur during infancy, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. In this stage of cognitive development, it provides an explanation of changes we go through in adolescence. We begin to think in a new way as we transition from childhood to being an adolescent. Our though processes become more organized, investigative, and abstract (Berk, 2007). We are able to do higher level math and physics equations (Rowland T., 2012). We start to worry about our future and form its image in our minds. The stage of “hypothetico-deductive reasoning” is formed (Rowland T., 2012). Hypothetico-deductive reasoning refers to the ability to consider different outcomes and hypothetical situations to solve problems (Berk,
