In the book, Katniss contemplated, about how normal Cinna looked and even with the hint of gold eyeliner (Katniss, 63). The producer of the movie did an outstanding job portraying Cinna. In the movie, the stylists and the civilians of the Capitol dress absurd. They had colored hair, crazy hair styles, strange wardrobes, unnatural skin colors, and a more than necessary amount of makeup on. Meanwhile in the movie, Cinna dressed casually, meaning no crazy wardrobes or crazy hair, simply just a layer of metallic gold eyeliner. In the book, blood streams from Katniss’ ear, leaving her permanently deaf in her left ear. She doesn’t regain hearing until the Capitol fixes her with a replacement aid after winning The Hunger Games. In the last arena scene in the book, the mutts attack Katniss and Peeta. Peeta almost slips off the Cornucopia when the mutts pull at his leg, and causes a huge gash on his leg. The Capitol is forced to amputate Peeta’s leg due to the amount of blood he lost and replaces it with a metal prosthetic leg. The movie shows Peeta not getting injured that bad, and it’s a big difference because throughout the book Peeta is supposed to appear weaker.
For children who don 't have much to eat in District 12, there wasn 't a lot of eating occurring during the scenes leading up to "The Hunger Games." They are called the "Hunger" games for a reason. District 12 is poor and decrepit so Katniss leaps at the opportunity to eat in the books. Also, Katniss has no trouble finding water during the games. In the books, it 's a struggle for her to do which symbolizes the seemingly impossible task of staying alive in the games. Katniss begs for Haymitch to send her water but he never does and she later finds out that water must close by two days
