The first outcome is that gifted programs continue as is; this would allow for some highly intelligent students to gain a greater education and find ways to challenge themselves. However, it would leave many intelligent students without equal opportunities, simply based upon their backgrounds. The second outcome is that gifted programs are stopped all together. In this outcome, “gifted” students are no longer challenged and may continue work that is far to simplified for them, however, this would take away from the discrimination as all students would be learning the same and there would be no discrepancies made between students of different cultures. With this, all students would be tested, no matter their race, and based on their scores they could then be placed in proper classes.
