This ward was hard for her. All of these women have been victims of the rebel forces or the government soldiers on more than one occasion an in many forms. The woman in the first bed had been raped repeatedly while her husband and son were forced to watch and then left for dead along with her husband while the son had been carried off by the rebels for forced induction into their army. The other women in the ward had similar stories of rape, torture, kidnapping and abuse at the hands of which ever faction happened to be in power at the time.
