The cinema and the psychoanalysis were both born at the end of the nineteenth century. They are sharing a joint social, historical, and cultural background. They are called psychological stages, and they are composed of four stages: oral, anal, phallic, and genital stage. The anal stage is the period from birth to one year. During this period, the baby’s primary source of interaction happens through the mouth, and it is the focus of pleasure since to being nursed. The fixation will happen at this period due to the nursing stopped too soon, or the baby is not being nursed, so these will cause a shaky personality or a dependent person. The second period is the anal stage that is from one to three years. The major problem in this period is toilet training. The child has to control her or his bodily needs. The children who had positive experiences, and their parents encouraged them at this period will become a productive and competent adult in the future, and the reverse is true. According to Freud, inappropriate parent responses during this stage might cause negative results in the future. The third period is the phallic stage that is from three to six years. During this period, Freud suggested that the genitals become the primary source of satisfaction. Children start to know the difference between man and woman.
