This study discusses the realities of domestic violence, stating that, “domestic violence is more dangers than cancer, motor vehicle accidents, war and malaria”. Srivastava states that domestic violence against men by women is extremely ignored due to society’s social norm of masculinity. The research done by Srivastava is all about observing the degree and pattern of domestic abuse against men and the causes of domestic abuse as well. One of the studies that they did was they documented a group of fifty men comparing their attitudes, values and feelings. In the end of the study, they ended up comparing their results to study the causes of domestic violence in men.
