The intoxication of alcohol includes depraved symptoms such as coma, incoordination, nystagmus and unsteady gait amongst other things; however, the withdrawal symptoms are worst. Withdrawal symptoms include increased pulse, insomnia, nausea/vomit, psychomotor agitation and grandma seizure amongst others. Furthermore, I believe that dealing with an addicted person going through the 12- step program might be difficult to deal with due to the fluctuation, but I do believe with experience it would be altruistic and rewarding for the sponsor. The steps that are to be taken by those who drink excessively are very specific and intrinsic to the people who need them, and not only speak to them on a strategic healthy level but also on a spiritual level. Upon dissecting these 24 steps in class of addiction issues and spiritual recovery, I believe that the gradual steps in which persons are supposed to achieve sobriety are necessary and prudent for change. I believe I would be comfortable speaking to people with gambling and sexual addiction because its sort of social taboo to speak upon ones’ sex life or money almost like people don’t like to talk about religion or politics. Unfortunately, these are the conversations that we need to have in-order to be able to pave the way for a new diagnosis and treatment over a real disorder. Thus, I believe that speaking about it will give people who are uncomfortable talking about it a voice, and eventually more acknowledgment to the addictions themselves. The thought is that if no one is classified as having a certain disorder it does not exist and that is not fair to those who need
