In its current form, the MEU is very flexible regarding where it can project power and by what platforms. With tiltrotor aircraft, helicopters, AAVs, CRRCs, and LCACs, the MEU is capable of deploying forces to landing zones, beach landing sites, or even cliffs if they have a company trained in assault climbing.
