-When any of the various elbow surfaces are separated or moved out of their original place an Elbow dislocation occur.
- Elbow dislocations are the second most commonly dislocated in adults next to shoulders. They are the most commonly dislocation in children.
-The greatest causes and events that can cause an elbow dislocation are falling, outstretching the hand so that the force sent through the arm can dislocate the elbow when hitting the floor. Traumatic injuries that happen during accidents or car wrecks can also be the cause of an elbow dislocation, and in children the lifting or swinging by their forearms can also influence on this to happen because the structure may not be strong enough to resist the force against it. …show more content…
* Neuromusculoskeletal/ Movement --The person will not be able to bend their elbow and holding their arm is also going to represent an issue. Because some of the elbow´s structures (radius, ulna, humerus) are going to be out of their place, movement is going to be impeded.
*Skin -- The skin is going to suffer changes , showing swallowing and irritation over the elbow dislocation surface. *Organ System—Organ system structures are not going to be affected. *Mental Functions—Because of the pain caused by this affectation the person may feel depressed, anxious and mentally stressed.
*Sensory Functions—the person will experiment diminished tactile sensation because of the numbness caused by the dislocation.
*Pain—The pain caused by the elbow dislocation is going to be severe and affect the person normal functioning.
