If a parent is worried about leaving their child their child is more likely to be worried about being left too. It is therefore important to have a welcoming environment. A notice board with staff and events on can help children and parents to feel more comfortable within the setting. An important role of the practitioner is to respect the wishes and views of parents and other carers, even if you disagree with them.
