Animal rights have always been a major disagreement, though once PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) was co-founded in 1980 these rejected animals were shown some light. The amount of shelters founded since 1980 has skyrocketed. “Today there are over 6,000 shelters in the United States alone” (www.peta.org). Not only has shelters strongly been affected after the discussion of animal rights have taken off, but many activists have been greatly changed the paths for many struggling animals.” To reduce the amount of abandoned and abused animals daily, many animal rights activists have encouraged shelters and have been involved dedicating their time to these affected animals” (www.peta.org). Rachael Ray features information on proper food nutrition by developing her own line of pet food that shelters across the U.S.A. recommend and use a great deal of. Ray helps raise awareness for organizations that makes a difference for neglected animals. One of these massive things problems is “Factory Farms”. Recently, there has been contrasting views on how healthy factory farms actually are. Bundles of our population believe that factory farming should be aloud. Some folk like it because it’s cheap, and that most individuals can’t afford organic meat. Others agree and think it is quick and the factories produce a lot in a short period of time. “Factory farming creates a profit-based system of farming the provides human populations with the amount of calories they need every day to survive. Whether it is livestock or crops that is the focus of any specific farm, food products can come out of the factory farm on a regular basis ” (http://www.farmsanctuary.org).
