A charismatic leader is one who is resting on devotion to the exceptional sanctity, heroism, or exemplary character of an individual person, and of the normative patterns or order revealed or ordained by him. In 1959 when surveying 191 refugees, 42 thought that Castro was “the savior of Cuba.” This shows that Castro had strong support even with lower education, semi-urban and rural residence.
