You have four down in which you have to get 10 yards or it’s a turn over, and on fourth down team sonetime punt the ball away down field. At the start of the game one team kick off (by kicking the ball down to the other team’s end zone) to the other team to start. Once they have the ball after the kick of the team that received the ball has four down to go 10 yards and if they fail to do so the team that is defending they gets the ball where they left off. The team that has the ball(the offense) can not hold the other team, can’t move be for the ball had been snapped, they also can’t intentionally throw the ball at the ground or way. The team the is defending(the defense)can’t grab the other teams face mask, grab the offence’s team by the collar and pull them down, can’t be off sides of the ball be for the ball has been snapped. For punting otherwise know as special teams, they can’t touch a free kick(a free kick is the defence team catching the ball free of being takle). Same as the offence and defence they can’t be on the opposite side of the ball before it has been snapped, and in result what ever team moved first gets pust back 5 yards as there penitale.
