Out of the countless political systems and organizations, formal and informal are key components to any one of them. In most cases, government, or an established system for administering state affairs is the formal. General politics, or activities related to influencing actions and policies of government, are the informal. Both are equally valuable in deciding who completes city-wide tasks and who has the power to do so. There are several different relationships between formal and informal power. Progressive regimes pay attention to the concerns of lower class residents rather than to the growth of the economy in order to keep things the way they are. Another regime are intergovernmental regimes. These systems are typically in place within cities that are in great financial trouble. Lastly, there are corporate or developmental regimes which usually reflect the interests of major corporations rather than of the
